The Web Design Process
STEP ONE: Your web site must meet your needs, reflect your style, accomplish your objectives. business or personal. The first step in the design process it to carefully talk through your ideas and style preferences. At this stage we'll begin to collect the information we need to communicate your message. We'll utilize your brochures, business card, marketing materials, press releases, news articles, photographs etc. Our goal: KNOW OUR CUSTOMER... YOU ... and know YOUR CUSTOMERS. We'll ask you to do some thinking and planning. We have a helpful list outlining your responsibilities in the web design process to help you organize your thoughts.
Our design team knows that COMMUNICATION is the key to a successful project. After we review your ideas, we will provide you with a detailed list of the pages we will design, the components of the pages, and a detailed cost estimate for the design phase of your site. Our web design package includes all aspects of the design of your site, thorough testing, reasonable changes and additions, and after your site goes LIVE, a 30 day period of ongoing maintenance, changes, and support.
Once you agree to our proposal, we require a 50% deposit to begin web site development. Download a copy of our web design contract.
STEP TWO: After LISTENING to your needs, and studying your resource materials, we'll begin to design a prototype. We utilize the best web design practices to create attractive, fast loading, pages that SAY what you want to say, SHOW what you want to show, SELL what you have to sell. We will publish the prototype on our testing web site so you can follow the work in progress from your computer. At each step, we'll want your feedback, corrections and ideas. This is a collaborative effort.
An important consideration at this stage is planning for the maintenance of your site.. what pages will be updated often.
We'll also implement strategies for getting information about your visitors keeping them coming back. E-mail sign ups, E-newsletter subscriptions, free downloads that will interest your visitors, are just a few proven strategies. We are constantly researching what WORKS and will make suggestions to keep your visitors engaged with you through your web site.
STEP THREE: Finalize and Publish. After all of the changes and adjustments, and you have approved of the final design we'll publish your site to your web hosting site. Extensive, step by step, LIVE testing on our testing site ensures there should be few surprises when your site joins the internet community on your web hosting site. Payment in full is required before the site goes live on your web host.
During the first 30 days we'll continue to work with you to make changes and additions, submit your site to search engines, continue to optimize the site for the search engine spiders, and monitor the success of our visitor programs.
ONGOING MAINTENANCE: After finalization of your site, and the initial 30 day launch period, we can also offer web site maintenance services. We can manage your mailing lists, design and publish your newsletters, update and upgrade your site.
